Eagles Nest Retreat – Wedding Security Bond Terms & Conditions

 

As part of your wedding booking at Eagles Nest Retreat, a refundable security bond is required. This bond is held as security against potential damages or breaches of the terms outlined below and will be refunded in full within 7 business days after check-out, provided all conditions are met.

 

The security bond may be partially or fully withheld under the following circumstances:

 

1. Property Damage

Any damage to the property, furnishings, fixtures, fittings, spa, landscaping, or facilities caused by the wedding party, guests, or vendors may result in full or partial loss of the bond. This includes stains, breakages, and misuse of property.

 

2. Excess Cleaning Required

The property must be left in a clean and tidy state. Excess cleaning (e.g., confetti in the grass or spa, food/beverage spills, dirty dishes, rubbish not removed) may incur additional cleaning fees which will be deducted from the bond.

 

3. Unauthorised Guests or Use of Property

The number of guests must not exceed what was agreed upon in your booking. Any unauthorised guests, vendors, or use of areas not included in the hire agreement (such as locked spaces or adjoining accommodations) may result in forfeiture of the bond.

 

4. Late Check-Out

Failure to vacate the property at the agreed check-out time (without prior approval) may incur additional charges.

 

5. Noise Complaints or Disturbance

As a luxury retreat, we have a strict no party policy beyond the agreed wedding celebration. Music must be turned down by 10 PM, and guests must behave respectfully. Complaints from neighbours or damage from unruly behaviour may result in forfeiture of the bond.

 

6. Missing Items

All items, including décor, kitchenware, electronics, and linen, must be accounted for. Any missing or removed items will be charged to the guest.

 

7. Spa & Fire Pit Misuse

Improper use of spa facilities (e.g., overfilling, adding substances to water, or damage to spa equipment) or fire pits (e.g., using unapproved materials, leaving fires unattended) may result in fees deducted from the bond.

8. Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings. Guests must use designated outdoor smoking areas and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. Failure to comply may result in additional cleaning or damage charges deducted from the bond.

9. Third-Party Vendors

The wedding couple is responsible for ensuring that all third-party vendors (e.g. stylists, florists, caterers, entertainers) comply with the property’s rules and conduct themselves respectfully. Any damage, disruption, or misuse caused by vendors will be treated as the couple’s responsibility and may result in deductions from the bond.

10. Bond Return Timing

If there are no issues upon inspection, your security bond will be returned in full to your nominated account. Please allow up to 7 business days for the funds to clear once released.
